Jesse is the best B&B host ever! During our weekend trip in New Orleans, Jesse took care of us like we were Kings! I travel a lot and I always try to stay in a B&B so I can get a local feeling of the place I'm visiting. I also like to socialize and have somebody taking care of our most important meal of the day: Breakfast! At The 5 Continents B&B, Jesse is not a cook, he is a Chef! For 3 mornings in a row, we had Gourmet Dejeuners! So good... The presentation, the ingredients, the seasonings, and of course the mix of all the flavors were delicious! It's the most important moment of the day as well, because it's at that time that we plan the rest of our day. Jesse will give us great recommendations of where to go, when and how. He also has all the pamphlets and a map of the city for you to use and keep. The house? Well decorated, clean and huge. Very interesting decor and details. In my friend's room, she had a funny rug. I'll let you judge. Check on the pictures... I guess an image it is worth one thousand words :) This B&B has 3 different rooms/suite and a Cottage (more intimate). You have access to a hot tub and the parking is included. When you arrive, Jesse will offer you a glass of wine and some fruits. How sweet! The price is totally reasonable! If you are a firefighter, like my hubby, you may get a discount... The location is great. It's not right in the middle of the crazy Bourbon Street. It's right at the border of the French Quarter. The best is to leave your car at Jesse's and walk for 20 minutes to get into the action spot. I also feel safer this way. Do you know how Bourbon St. is Crazy?!!! I thought that I was, but not at all... I would recommend this B&B to my best friend and I will go back again for sure! New Orleans is a must see! Screw all the people who think that this city belongs to the past!

Jess is an excellent host!! He had no problem with the fact that we arrived at 2am, he woke up from his sleep to greet us didn't bother us with the billing. We stayed in the back house and loved having our own little bungalow. The breakfasts were made with much TLC, so pretty with special edible flowers on yogurt - caviar on tomato. Oh, the pear brie french toast he makes is incredible! Every morning he had the local newspaper available and printed out lists of music with his personal recommendations, without him I would have probably headed to the tourist traps but he made sure we got a taste of New Orleans. Our refrigerator was stocked with all kinds of juices, sodas, waters, etc. After celebrating New Year's Eve there I was a little dehydrated so drank most of the beverages in fridge only to find it fully stocked the next morning. Awesomeness!! Would recommend the B&B to anyone. The rate for the 3 nights was inexpensive considering the service and comfort we had while there. We've talked about making this a tradition to ring in the New Year at Jess's Five Continents B&B!

5 Continents is a lovely place to stay while visiting New Orleans. The B&B is located within walking distance of the French Quarter--we chose to walk to daytime activities but drive at night to be on the safe side. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable about New Orleans and they have an adorable dog. Peter makes a mean breakfast! We visited at Christmas time and the house was decorated so beautifully for the holiday. It helped bring the magic of the holidays to us while on vacation. We stayed in the Asian suite. The room had a large bedroom, a sitting room, and balcony access. It was decorated beautifully and the room came with a coffee maker, wine glasses, a refrigerator, and nice organic toiletries. The one down side to this room was that it was a bit hard to regulate the temperature because the heat comes from a window unit, so we were often either too warm or too cold. The bathroom is a little funky as well: there's a very small bathroom with just enough room for the toilet and the tub shower. It made getting in and out of the shower a little awkward. There's an antique sink in the sitting room. We had a hard time getting the shower and sink water to be and stay warm, which was sort of a let-down for such an otherwise nice place. One other good-to-know item is that the B&B provides gated parking, so we felt safe leaving our car there when we were on foot.

This place is beautiful. As you can see from the pictures, it's stunningly furnished. My friend and I had the Asian suite which is really nice, however this is an older building so the sink is outside of the bathroom. I'm glad that it's been kept original, rather than some tacky "upgrade". Our friends had a larger suite (upstairs in front), can't remember the name and it was gorgeous with a huge balcony facing Esplanade Ave. But the real gem of this place is Jess, the owner. He's a gourmet chef and it really shows when he prepares your breakfast. Scrambled eggs with lox and cream cheese, french toast with brie melted in between...these are 2 of the delicious dishes he prepared for us. Jess is also very knowledgeable about the city and can give you great recommendations from the best bloody mary to the best restaurants in town. I would no doubt return to the Five Continents.

I have stayed at a lot of B&B and this place is a steal. Jess runs a tight ship and every detail is fantastically thought through. My friend and I stayed here in late April and we were very, very happy about our stay. We each had our own room so it was so nice to relax. If you are coming for the first time to NOLA then it is close enough to the French Quarter. You can walk there during the day and a 5 cab ride gets you safely home at night. We were two women and we felt safe walking during the day. The prices here are so great the cabs didn't even dent in comparison. Secure parking is available there as well. I will be back with my boyfriend and want to stay in the sweet little house in the back!

My wife and I stayed here for a few days. Jess is a friendly person and knowledgable about the places to go in New Orleans. His cooking is amazing and we enjoyed being there. We were in the Asian room which has a separate area to sit and watch TV. He kept the mini fridge stocked with juice, soda and water. He is very easy to get along with and got up early to see us off when we left. He also went out of his way to pack us a to go breakfast at 6 in the morning. We really enjoyed our time there.
